As a good, affordable wine, the 2009 Migule Torres Las Mulas Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile has a lot going for it. And as for pedigree, Torres is one of the most dynamic wine families out there. The wine is organic, so what's not to like there? And it's priced right, around $15. The fruit is dark blueberry and cherry -- no green or herb, just clear fruits of depth and purity. Subtle tannins and a silky mouth feel tie things up nicely. It makes me want some rich, red sauce pastas. Cheers!
