Theft – Taxi driver reported a man who habitually fails to pay his fare in her and other's taxis had once again absconded without paying. Officers found the man sleeping in another man's house, and walked with him through the neighborhood until he was able to beg enough money from friends to pay the taxi driver.
Suspicious Person/Activity – A young man who attempted to use a fake ID to purchase beer fled from the area before police arrived. The legitimate owner of the ID is employed on a fishing vessel whose captain refused to provide any information about the ID owner's whereabouts.
Suspicious Person/Activity – Officers located and identified a young man who had attempted to use a false ID to enter the Harbor View Bar. Cody Mack, 19 yoa, told police he had found the ID and simply wanted to hang with his boozing buddies. Mack was cited for Access of Persons under 21 to Licensed Premises.
Drunk Disturbance – Officer advised a man preparing to urinate in public that he could be cited for said crime, and recommended he seek a more appropriate venue for his nocturnal micturition.
Welfare Check – Officers responded to the airport regarding an intoxicated man who had apparently crawled from the terminal to the waterfront, after which he had not been seen again. Officers located the inebriate, who had simply been looking at the pretty beach, and ensured he had transportation back to his hotel.
Trespass – A woman ransacked her ex-boyfriend's property after a short-term romance ended badly, and then fled the residence when told that officers were en route. Officers advised the woman she could not return to the boyfriend's room and provided some information regarding social services in the area.
Welfare Check – Caller reported a pedestrian had collapsed on the South Channel Bridge. An officer contacted the victim, who said she had simply been stretching.
Welfare Check – Caller reported two inebriates, one barefoot, walking along the roadway. Officers contacted a reeking, disheveled and barefoot man who said he lost his shoes after partying all night at the bar. The officer provided transport for the drunk to his vessel.
