Mounds of excrement, origin unknown, have been found for the past several days at a construction staging site. Construction workers opine, based on the egesta's general condition, that it is freshly deposited each day.
A drunken lout who tried to grab a man in the Harbor View Bar bathroom was pummeled in the face when he approached the same man outside the bar. Neither inebriate wished to pursue charges.
Homeowner reported her clothesline and doghouse had been spoliated in the night by an unidentified scoundrel. The responding officer found this was indeed the case. No suspects were identified.
Second-party caller reported two hunters near Cold Bay had found a seriously injured bear cub, and wanted permission to kill the cub. An officer contacted AWT, who advised the civilians not to kill the cub and to let Izembek NWR personnel address the issue if need be.
Intoxicated caller reported some of his alcohol, among other things, may have been stolen by his good dipsomaniac friend. He asked that officers contact him in the morning about this scandalous situation.
Dog owner reported her dog was missing and though she could hear it barking near the river she was unable to find the dog because it was dark. Officers found the dog for her.
Officer advised a man walking in the roadway that he would be much safer using the immediately adjacent sidewalk.
Woman reported 55 gallons of fuel had recently been stolen from her home; however, her companion advised the fuel tank was dry, as if it had been empty for quite some time.
Manolito I. Reyes, 55 yoa, of Unalaska, was arrested for Assault IV-DV after his roommate told police Reyes had threatened to cut his tongue out and had then chased him while wielding a crowbar. Surveillance video confirmed the gist of the victim's story.
