UAA cross-country running team sweep in Hawaii

The UAA men's and women's cross-country running teams each won at the Hawaii Big Wave Invitational in Kaneohe, Hawaii, on Saturday, getting individual victories from Micah Chelimo and Susan Tanui. Chelimo won the men's 5-kilometer race in 15 minutes, 43 seconds, and Tanui topped the women's 5-K in 18:09. The top five spots in the men's race went to UAA runners, with Dylan Anthony (15:14), Alfred Kangogo (16:00), Isaac Kangogo (16:03) and Jake Parisien (16:10) rounding out the group.

UAA's Ivy O'Guinn clocked 18:45 to finish third in the women's race. Also scoring for UAA were Katie Krehlik in fourth at 18:51 and Miriam Kipng'eno in fifth at 18:52.
