I bet you didn't know that Germany makes a ton of sparkling wine. You're not supposed to call it Champagne. That's reserved for France, but it's kind of like how all plastic wrap is all Saran wrap to me. The Germans call it sekt, but whatever you call it, the Dr. L Sparkling Riesling is the bomb! Fresh, fruity, lightly sweet, frothy, foamy and fizzy, it is just delectable. Trust me -- this is going to be your new cocktail beverage. Used in mimosas or Kirs or chilled by itself, the stuff is scrumptious. I can't wait for you to try it. Costs about $16.
