Hunting animals exemplifies just how savage humans are

The idea of National Hunting and Fishing Day, of getting children outdoors so they can kill animals for fun, is ludicrous.

Teach children to respect and protect animals, not to slaughter them for enjoyment. To quote Clint Eastwood -- "I don't hunt. I love to shoot, but not animals. That turns me off."

Sport hunting and fishing are nothing but blood sports for the rich, judging by all the high tech and motorized equipment that is bought and used. Humans are the true invasive species in nature. The best form of game management is to just leave animals and their habitat alone.

The only evolution that matters is spiritual evolution, and homo sapiens need to evolve beyond the killing of sentient beings for pleasure.
