Letter: Thief should turn himself in

To the individual(s) who stole my sister and brother-in-law's phones, cameras, textbooks, laptop, and a duffel bag of maternity and newborn clothes from their parked car on Sixth Avenue on Tuesday evening (Oct. 2): Please turn yourself in or return the items.

My sister was on her way to the hospital to have her first child. By taking my brother-in-law's studies, he must now worry about redoing already completed college papers. By taking the duffel, you have stolen from someone that was not yet in this world. You have brought low spirits to what should have been a most joyous and meaningful moment. Choose to do the responsible, just, and right thing.
