Hilltop Alpine Race Team, 4:30-7:30 p.m., Hilltop Chalet at Hilltop Ski Area, 7014 Abbott Roadd. Hilltop is now offering an Alpine Race program. This is a competitive ski team that will be racing in the Youth Ski League against other youth ski teams from the Anchorage area. The program is for ages 7-13, who are intermediate to advanced skiers. Program includes: professional coaching by experienced racers, pre-season dryland training, running gates, video analysis of students skiing, and 3 hour practices twice a week. Bonny Sosa Tuesday Night Running Race Series, 5:30-8:15 p.m., Kincaid Outdoor Center, 9401 Raspberry Road. Hosted by Anchorage Parks and Recreation, locations change each week. Choose the Munchkin League for youths under 12 or those young at heart; Farm League for recreational runners; or the Lightning League for competitive runners. Challenge Alaska Volunteer Ski & Snowboard Instructor Information Meeting, 5:30-7 p.m. Nov. 1 and 11 at Round Table Pizza in Dimond Center and Nov. 2 and 16 in Girdwood at the Challenge Alaska Building. Join a team of volunteer instructors at one of the best adaptive ski schools in the nation. Alaska Nordic Racing Masters Program, 6:30-8 p.m., Kincaid Park, Raspberry Road. A program for anyone looking to learn to ski, improve technique, increase fitness, and/or race. Skiers of all abilities are welcome. With a large, experienced coaching staff, skiers will be placed in small groups according to their ability for instruction.
