Police ask for help finding suspect in tanning salon robbery

Police are asking for help identifying a suspect in an October robbery of an East Anchorage tanning salon.

Anchorage Police Department detectives say a white man in his 40s walked into Color Me Tan, located at 6311 DeBarr Road, at 9:45 p.m. on Oct. 27. He threw the clerk to the ground and robbed her, said APD spokesman Lt. Dave Parker.

He did not use a weapon, Parker said.

The suspect is described as being about 6 feet, 3 inches tall and 250 pounds. He wore a red and white plaid shirt and blue jeans, according to police.

Anyone with information about the robbery can call the APD at 786-8900.
