Commonwealth North's Annual Legislator Meet and Greet

As Alaskans approach a new legislative session in January, we are facing a number of important issues. Our Alaska Legislators are being asked to make important public policy decisions that will affect Alaskans for years to come. Resolving these issues as well as keeping the pulse on constituents is not always an easy job. On Wednesday, December 12 from noon to 1:30 at the Dena'ina Center, Commonwealth North will be hosting face to face discussions between our members and elected officials. At last year's Legislator Meet and Greet Program, 28 Legislators joined us for an outstanding luncheon which received very favorable responses from both Legislators and our members.

This is not a campaign, political debate, or cross-examination. It is an opportunity to discuss key issues with well-informed, thoughtful Alaskans. Our members also want to share their thoughts and concerns and hear our elected officials' insights into the big issues facing the state in the upcoming legislative session. This program also includes a detailed overview of Commonwealth North's positions on Alaska's critical public policy areas which include infrastructure, energy, fiscal policy, and health care.

Commonwealth North was formed in 1979 and continues to be Alaska's foremost public policy organization. Over 370 of Alaska's most prominent business, government, and community leaders are our members. We provide a statewide forum through our events and study groups on public policy issues affecting Alaska. Your participation is welcome whenever possible.
