Letter: Anchorage is, in fact, Alaska

The solution to David Miller's wildlife phobia (Letters, Nov. 7) is relocation to a city cleansed of these "awful" wild creatures — moose, bears, geese and of course, the beaver.

As far as Anchorage being "Jessy Coltrane's private petting zoo" — well, from what I've seen this fearless, spunky little gal works her tail off wrangling moose, shooting problem bears, and dealing with crazy people.

Mr. Miller says "Anchorage is not Alaska" and he is wrong. Anchorage is full of Alaskans who enjoy and appreciate our city's unique wild character.
