Kudos for Mary Fisher of Alaskans for Litter Prevention and Recycling (ALPAR) and Alaska's DOT for finding a way to use ground recycled glass in highway projects. Studies have shown pavement using a portion of recycled glass is stronger and longer lasting.
This is a win-win for Alaskans. It will save the state money and provide a market for glass recycling.
Good job, ALPAR and DOT!
