Letter: Message intended to point out rising taxes, unemployment

I sincerely apologize to the Laura Brakeman(s) of the world (Letters, Nov. 23) if my "hate-spewing diatribe" (Letters, Nov. 14) melted the ice in their collective Kool-Aid glass they hold so dear.

But as Ms. Brakeman demanded my "purpose," it was merely to comment on the unfolding post-election realities as reported by the ADN on that particular day: rising taxes and unemployment, falling stock market, White House scandals, etc. If she had reflected upon the entire paper she would have found that my "points" were well-confirmed.

Instead she calls me a "liar" in a real hate-spewer incorporating the Saul Alinsky time-tested tactic of killing the messenger while ignoring the message.

In the famous quote from Col. Frank Slade (Al Pacino, "Scent of a Woman"): "I'm just getting warmed up."
