Wine of the week: 2006 Margan Botrytis Semillon

In reviewing my lists, I noticed that I haven't recommended any Late Harvest wines. What in the world is wrong with me? You must try the 2006 Margan Botrytis Semillon. It is absolute nectar! This very cool, 13-inch tiny cylinder is filled with 375 ml of golden, rich, viscous, delicious juice. Deep concentrated aromas of dried apricots, honey and citrus are beautiful to behold. The mouth is, of course, sweet, with 11 percent residual sugar. Sharp acids shape the fruit on the palate for minutes. The layers of dried fruits perform for you like no other. This is not everyday wine, but what a great gift idea. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Costs about $35.
