One of the higher profile end-of-days-themed events from Friday was At World's End, the electronic music dance party at Dena'ina Center. Part of the audiovisual show included a giant pyramid structure and 3-D projection.
All this fit into the Mayan apocalypse theme that ran through the evening, including a story told incorporating the massive set design. "The event featured several distinct 'epochs' as we told the story of life's origination, its evolution, the rise and fall of mankind, and brought the audience to the apocalypse and beyond," wrote event organizer Mike Mason of concert promoter A Dose of Know-How. "We used coordinated audio and visual cues and created what amounts to a theatrical production designed for EDM [electronic dance music]."
