It's interesting the Republican Party was stunned when President Obama was reelected. After recovering, it was reported they decided to take a step back and reevaluate their philosophies, hoping to get more in line with the mainstream thinking of the country.
The party continues to stay firm on protecting American millionaires from increased taxes; however, those millionaires, estimated to be approximately 2 percent of the population, have far from enough votes to keep Republicans in office. And the voters in the middle and lower income classes don't seem to support saving money for top-level earners when they themselves are suffering. Now, even the Republicans are at odds with themselves, refusing to vote on their own Plan B.
