Letter: Dislike the US Constitution? Then act to change it

In response to Diane Pleninger's letter to the editor of Jan. 2:, Diane seems to have a severe misunderstanding about the basic definitions of the words "laws" and "rights."

The Bill of Rights outline rights that are God-given and unalienable.

I'm afraid our founders were far more wise and less ignorant of the meaning of rights.

There are means available to change our Constitution. Instead of trying to restrict our rights via legislation, I'd suggest that if she doesn't like our Constitution, Diane should be trying to change it.

Good luck to her!
