Police seek victims of alleged pedophile brothers

Detectives are looking for potential victims of two Anchorage brothers accused of sexually abusing children.

Officers arrested Mark King, 56, and Craig King, 54, and charged them each with more than a dozen counts of child sexual abuse in 2012, a police spokeswoman said in a written statement Wednesday. Detectives found multiple victims -- family members and acquaintances -- whom the Kings allegedly assaulted going back to the 1970s, the statement says.

In September, police charged Mark King with 13 counts of child sexual abuse and, at the end of December, arrested and charged Craig King with 17 counts of child sexual abuse.

"Based on this investigation, detectives feel there are more victims of both Mark and Craig King, who lived together on Dolly Varden Avenue and had access to children through family members," the police statement says.

Police say neither brother had a job working with children or participated in local activities with children.

The detectives ask that previously unknown victims of the Kings or anyone with information on unreported abuse call 786-8900.
