ANCHORAGE, Alaska – USKH Inc. (USKH) has announced that the company's Executive Vice President, D. Lance Mearig, P.E., was recently certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institute. The Institute was established in 1976 and is an internationally recognized, independent certifying organization for the human resources profession.
Mearig, who has been with USKH since 1994, is responsible for risk management, firm administration, ownership transactions and human resources.
Mearig is a principal of the firm and is a registered professional engineer in Alaska, Washington, Idaho and Oregon. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers; and a past member of the Alaska Board of Registration for Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors. He is a graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks; he received his Master of Science from Arizona State University.
