The Bartlett Golden Bears edged Chugiak 61-59 Saturday to capture the championship of the Alaska Prep Shootout boys basketball tournament at Dimond High.
The clash between the Cook Inlet Conference foes was dramatic throughout, with 14 lead changes and seven ties.
Keandra Rowland drained five of seven shots from 3-point range for Bartlett, which piled up 21 points from long range to Chugiak's nine.
Rowland finished with a team-high 21 points. Devin Light pumped in 19 and Iziah Sherman-Newsome grabbed 12 rebounds and four steals for the Golden Bears.
Tournament MVP Skyler Fullmer poured in 25 points and hauled down nine rebounds to lead Chugiak, which outrebounded Bartlett 40-38 but fell victim to 11 Bartlett steals. Peyton Fullmer chipped in 14 points and six rebounds for the Mustangs.

Palmer captures 3rd place
Connor Looney came up with 25 points and five steals to lead Palmer past Juneau 51-28 in the third-place game.
Brian Selmer chipped in 17 points for the Moose, who broke a 6-6 tie after the first quarter by outscoring Juneau 15-6 in the second quarter and pulled away farther with a 20-7 third-quarter advantage.
Keith Ainsworth's eight points topped Juneau.
Lynx take 4th in OT
Dimond needed a second overtime period to secure fourth place against Soldotna, and the Lynx made the most of the final four minutes, outscoring the Stars 18-6 to claim a 55-43 win.
The teams were tied 35-35 through regulation and 37-37 after the first overtime.
Dimond's Damon Cikanek led all scorers with 19 points, with Stanson Afoa and Payton Lauwers each notching 13. Afoa also pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
Noah Fowler's 11 points led Soldotna, and Austin Kruse chimed in with nine.
Grace finishes 7th
Eric Johnson's stellar shooting highlighted Grace's 72-57 seventh-place win over Ketchikan. He hit 11 of 14 field-goal attempts, draining 7 of 8 3-point shots and all six of his free throws on his way to 35 points.
Hans Karlberg added 17 points for Grace, which trailed by six after one quarter, but used a 23-9 second quarter to lead by eight at halftime.
Kable Lervick was Ketchikan's hot shooter, scoring 26 points on 7 of 12 shooting from the field and 9 of 10 from the free throw line.
Service 75, Wasilla 28
Four Service players scored in double figures Saturday, to lead the Cougars to a 75-28 nonconference boys basketball win over visiting Wasilla.
Service's Adam Klie and Reece Robinson each racked 17 points, with Klie making a pair of 3-pointers along the way. Irho Raguindin produced 15 points, and Marques Robinson scored all 12 of his points in the first half, after which Service led 38-16.
Cameron Brown finished with 11 points and Emillio Carney added six for Wasilla.
Colony 59, ACS 56
Three double-digit scorers powered Colony's 59-56 win over visiting Anchorage Christian in a nonconference boys basketball game Saturday.
Nathan Unbarger paced the Knights with 13 points, making 7 of 8 free throws. Hunter Eisenhower and Damien Fulp contributed 12 points apiece, combining for 14 of Colony's 19 fourth-quarter points.
Gus Simmers and and Calvin Hoffman accounted for most of the ACS points, hitting for 20 and 18, respectively.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Dimond 70, Kenai 34
Ione Fischer and Aminata Cole led the charge in a 70-34 nonconference win for the Dimond girls basketball team Saturday against host Kenai.
Fischer drilled five 3-pointers to finish with 16 points, Cole netted 15 points and Karenna Liggon chipped in 11. Tara Thompson and Sierra Afoa each contributed nine points for the Lynx, who held a 44-14 lead by halftime.
Kenai's Sydney Taylor scored all but two of her 16 points in the second and third quarters, and Carly Norvelle recorded nine points.
ACS 78, Houston 36
Sarah Geagle racked up 28 points Saturday to lead Anchorage Christian past Houston 78-36 in a tournament at Delta Junction.
Dallas Dickerson added 21 points for the Lions.
Seward sweeps Homer
Seward's boys and girls came away with home-court victories over Homer on Saturday, with the girls winning 37-33 in overtime and the boys pulling away in the fourth quarter to triumph 49-35.
Tesaa Adelmann led the Seward girls with 14 points, including two in overtime to help the Seahawks take a 9-5 scoring advantage. Haley Oliver topped Homer with 12 points, scoring five in the fourth quarter as the Mariners rallied to tie the game 28-28 and force overtime.
Jeff Buchanan scored 16 points and Michael Moore 14 for the Seward boys, who outscored Homer 15-7 in the final quarter to get some breathing room. Quinn Daugharty's 16 points led Homer.
