Boys basketball

Service 75, Colony 59

One night after suffering its first league loss, the Service boys basketball team rebounded with a 75-59 nonconference win over host Colony.

Adam Klie's 22 points led the attack for the Cougars, and Marques Robinson racked 10 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to help Service close on a 22-10 run. Ihro Raguindin tossed in 11 points for the Cougars.

Three Colony players reached double-digits in points, led by 14 from Hunter Eisenhower, 11 from Nate Umbarger and 10 from Joe Gray.

East 88, Chugiak 50

Jarred Laws drained three 3-pointers and finished with 15 points Thursday, to help the East boys basketball team blow by Chugiak 88-50 in a Cook Inlet Conference game at Chugiak High.

Xavier Johnson and Austin Huss each added 13 points for East, and Louis Bonner scored all 10 of his points in the second half.

Skyler Fullmer led Chugiak with 15 points and Payton Fullmer hit for 14.

Girls basketball

East 48, Chugiak 40

In Thursday's only Cook Inlet Conference girls basketball game East knocked off host Chugiak 48-40.

Togafiti Manu led the way for East with 11 points.

Anna Ingraham and Brandy Bookout each scored 10 for Chugiak.
