Letter: Too many people are blind to the damage loose cats can do

Diane Pleninger's (Letters, February 11) continued resistance to the facts amazes me. Not less than 33 species of birds have gone extinct because of house cats and feral house cats and still folks insist on what little harm they do. I am sickened to think that there are birds, wild birds, that are no longer on the planet because of some damned, silly cat! How responsible to the ecosystem is that?

There is no justification for letting a house cat outside!
