Kyzer promoted, Mishra joins AEDC

The Anchorage Economic Development Corporation recently promoted Will Kyzer to business and economic development director and hired Archana Mishra as communications coordinator. Kyzer's expanded duties include creating new strategies to help grow and diversify the Anchorage economy while building relationships with businesses and other organizations. Mishra will be responsible for supporting AEDC's public relations, advertising and marketing efforts.

"I am proud to have Will and Archana as part of the AEDC family," said Bill Popp, president and CEO of AEDC. "Will's contributions have already bolstered efforts to strengthen the Anchorage economy and I am excited to bring Archana's energy and expertise on board."

Kyzer, who is originally from Anchorage, joined AEDC in 2012 as the assistant director of business and economic development. In his new position at AEDC, Kyzer's efforts will include supporting local businesses, assisting Alaska entrepreneurs in developing new businesses and recruiting new industries to Anchorage. Prior to AEDC, Kyzer served as a prospect manager with the Iowa Economic Development Authority where he worked closely with both the local and out-of-state business communities to build relationships and implement development campaigns.

AEDC also welcomes new-hire Archana Mishra as the communications coordinator. Mishra brings more than 12 years of experience working in advocacy, external relations, communication and policy to the AEDC team. She will have a special focus on the Live. Work. Play. initiative to make Anchorage the no. 1 city in America to live, work and play by 2025.

AEDC is a private, nonprofit membership organization developed in 1987 to encourage growth and to diversify the Anchorage economy. The organization has more than 235 investors, which represent all industries in Anchorage and Alaska.
