Anchorage, AK (February 14, 2013)--Kautaq Construction Services (KCS) today announced the recent opening of its Southwest Regional Office, said Thom Antonovich, General Manager. The office is located in Phoenix, Arizona, and is strategically located to market projects within the Western United States.

KCS recently completed a federal project for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and is currently the low bidder on a $6 million dollar project for the Navajo Nation with several more projects in the pipeline in this area.

"We look forward to a prosperous future for KCS in this new location," Antonovich said.

The Project Manager for KCS Phoenix office is Don Williamson. Williamson has been in the construction industry for more than 25 years and has been working exclusively in the Southwest for the past 13 years. The majority Williamson's projects in the Southwest have been with Native Americans. They include federal projects, gaming and hospitality including casinos, healthcare, and educational projects ranging up to $210 Million.

KCS is one of four construction companies of UIC Construction Services (UICCS): UIC Construction, LLC (UICC); Rockford Corporation; and SIKU Construction, LLC. UICCS is a holding company of the Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation of the Native village of Barrow, Alaska.
