Letter: In Juneau, state’s needs take back seat to ‘foo-foo’ issues

Let me understand this … we badly need a gas line for significant areas of our state; however, a number of our legislators are more concerned with using valuable time to work on elitist, non-essential conservative “foo-foo” issues involving prospective laws that cannot be defended in court should they progress that far.

Is that what we send our legislators to Juneau to do for our state? Oh, I forgot, it is to give money back to oil companies when we could be using this income to move a gas line forward. Hmmm, perhaps I just don’t understand the purpose of state representatives.
