What a mighty haughty bunch occupy the offices of the governor and lieutenant governor.
The latest act of arrogance comes in the form of a Compass piece by Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell no less (Compass, Feb. 28), who intones that some Alaskans are out “out of touch” when it comes to what they can do with their Permanent Fund dividends.
When will this false sense of superiority that leaches from the Parnell/Treadwell administration finally cease?
At a time when the disparity between the haves and have-nots grows at an ever-increasing rate, the last thing anyone needs is a puffed-up, 47 percent Romney-like lecture from Lt. Gov. Treadwell on how to prevent this inequality with a minute sprinkle of noblesse oblige.
