Adde is All-American again for Seawolves
Andreas Adde is once again an All-American for the UAA ski team.
Adde, a senior from Osteras, Norway, earned NCAA All-America recognition for the fifth time in his career by placing ninth in Wednesday's giant slalom at the national championships.
Adde was the top skier for the Seawolves on the opening day of competition in Middlebury, Vt. Sophomore Niko Harmanen placed 25th and freshman Cedrick Gagnon was 33rd in the men's race.
In the women's race, sophomore Anna Berecz placed 25th, sophomore Vanessa Berther was 27th and senior Kayla Hoog-Fry was 34th.
The championships continue Thursday with nordic competition.

Pacific District Tier I's
Berths to national championship tournaments are at stake this week at the Subway Sports Centre, where the USA Hockey Pacific District Tier I Championships will be played in three boys age divisions.
The winners of the districts in the U-18, U-16 and U-14 divisions, which all open play Thursday and have championship games set for Sunday, will advance to the national championships next month in Pittsburgh.
The U-18 field of four teams includes the Alaska Junior Aces and LA Junior Kings, national runners-up last year. The U-16 and U-14 fields are both comprised of six teams.
The U-18 championship is set for 1:30 p.m. Sunday, the U-16 title game is 11:15 a.m. Sunday and the U-14 title game is 9 a.m. Sunday.

Eggemeyer wins NAIA
Kodiak's Jimmy Eggemeyer, a junior wrestler at Southern Oregon University, bagged his first national title in last weekend's NAIA wrestling national championships in Des Moines, Iowa.
Eggemeyer won his title in the 149-pound division, one year after posting a runner-up finish in the same tournament. He won his final match by 3-2 decision over Isaiah Tatum of Grand View University.
