Will Star Wars VII feature an older Princess Leia?

Did Carrie Fisher just cast herself as Princess Leia in Star Wars: Episode VII?

Palm Beach Illustrated has itself a significant scoop after it published a Q&A with Fisher about her involvement in the new trilogy.

When asked if she's going to reprise her role, the 56-year-old actor and author simply said, "Yes."

"I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle," Fisher told the website, before adding Leia might need rescuing from "an intergalactic old folks home."

But it's difficult to determine if Fisher, a celebrated satirist, is joking.

When asked if she still has the gold bikini from "Return of the Jedi," Fisher said "the bagel buns and the bikini, because probably she has sundowners syndrome. At sundown, she thinks that she's 20-something. And she puts it on and gets institutionalized."

Disney bought LucasFilm properties from George Lucas late last year in a $4-billion deal.

A seventh, eighth and ninth movie are planned and will start screening in 2015 with JJ Abrams set to direct and Kathleen Kennedy producing.

Already Mark Hamill has said he's open to appearing again as Luke Skywalker. Harrison Ford was less committal about Han Solo, but didn't dismiss the idea entirely.

However, LucasFilm representatives told Entertainment Weekly that there's been no decision on casting.

While we love the idea of casting Fisher again, we're hoping she gets an updated wardrobe.
