The Culmination Festival brings beers previously unavailable in Alaska

Matt Sullivan

While you were enjoying a Rondy Brew from Anchorage Brewing Company during this year's Fur Rondy, Anchorage Brewing's Gabe Fletcher was helping to organize The Culmination, a beer festival featuring brews that have not been available in Alaska. The fest is April 20 at Dena'ina Center.

Tickets are $100, limited to 300 people. The event also features cheeses and cured meats from around the world, plus live jazz by Scott Caddell and Friends. Reservations are available on the Culmination website, which says tickets can only be purchased at the door to avoid extra charges. A credit card number is required to hold a ticket, plus the names of each ticket holder. The organizers are asking that all purchases at the door be made with cash, but any tickets unclaimed will be charged to the credit card used to make the reservation.
