Grant shines in ECHL debut; Glencross back with a bang

Former UAA winger Tommy Grant, who until tonight played all his pro games in nearly two seasons in the AHL, enjoyed a terrific debut in the ECHL.

Grant bagged one goal and two helpers, and went +4 for the San Francisco Bulls in a 7-2 win at Stockton. The Bulls also got one goal and one helper from former Aces winger Kory Falite and an assist from former Aces defenseman Mark Isherwood.

Up in the big league, the NHL, former UAA winger Curtis Glencross of the Calgary Flames returned from a two-game absence with a wrist injury and rocked one goal and one assist in a 5-2 win over visiting Detroit.

That production gives Glencross, who was +3 with three shots and three hits in 18:05 of ice time, season totals of 9-6--15 and -3 in 23 games.

On the erstwhile Aces front, rookie defenseman William Wrenn of Anchorage, up with AHL Texas on his second loan to a club in that league, bagged his second AHL goal in a 4-3 win over Abbotsford. In 12 combined games with Worcester and Texas, Wrenn owns 2-1--3 totals and a -2 rating.
