Wolves win four

Eagle River bagged four victories Friday in a track and field meet called The Scramble, an unofficial indoor meet at The Dome that kicked off the season for athletes from 12 schools.

Eagle River's Kaitlyn Mondl added a win in the girls 3,200-meter run in 11 minutes, 19.8 seconds, and the Wolves' Ed Hall was best in the boys discus with a throw of 132 feet.

West's Pauline Tufi turned in a big win in the girls discus, reaching 104 feet, nearly 12 feet better than the nearest competitor. Kenai's Jordan Theisen was fastest in the boys 3,200, clocking 10:28.9.
