Letter: Volunteer candidate steps up

South Anchorage now has a choice. I volunteer to be a write-in candidate running against Jennifer Johnston because she will vote for Sullivan's politically motivated ALEC ordinance even though she and the other supporters of it don't fully know which city workers are critical or not (they just learned evidence techs were critical from testimony). I have no prior experience, never finished college, and have no community service credentials, but hey, I'll do the job for half the salary! That is my qualification! That will be the only qualification city unions will have to compete against if this ordinance is passed. I think I can handle five hours a night of testimony if I can play Free Cell on my laptop like the mayor.

Just kidding about the salary, I want full pay to play Free Cell!
