Letter: Big business action shows it’s against middle class

I have just read the headlines, and can’t decide if I am angry, disgusted, or simply sad. The vote to gut the unions that have stabilized and strengthened the middle class for decades will just further erode salaries and benefits, result in a loss of talented employees who will leave to work for a less hostile community, and reduce the amount of revenues that are returned to local businesses, reducing those revenues, etc, etc.

Big business has managed once again to convince people that middle class people are somehow robbing taxpayers with handouts. My only hope is this will be the issue that finally galvanizes the public to get involved with the election process, educate themselves on the issues, and show up to vote out the “representatives” who just underrepresented their own constituents.
