• Longtime journalist Ed Bennett has joined Bradley Reid and Associates Inc. as a copywriter and editor, where he helps ensure quality control for the agency's many projects. He previously served as manager of assignments and Web content at KTUU Channel 2 News. Besides television, Bennett's career includes writing and editing for radio, weekly and daily newspapers, telecommunications and the Internet. In recent years his focus has been on managing the flow of information in a world that has evolved from single channels to social media, from desktops to smartphones.

• Rachel Lauesen has been named staff attorney at Ukpeagvik Iñupiat Corp., the Alaska Native village corporation of Barrow. Lauesen will oversee a broad range of legal and regulatory matters. She earned her law degree at the University of Wisconsin Law School and has been admitted to the Alaska Bar Association, the Federal District Court for the District of Alaska and the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Wes Harvey, CQM, CQA has been named corporate quality programs manager for the company. Harvey has more than 20 years of experience in the field of environmental and quality management. Prior to joining UIC, he worked for the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation and served as quality manager for Olgoonik Development, LLC.

• Jack White Commercial Real Estate has hired Greg Johnson, Marc Dunne and Michael McElligott, who were all previously affiliated with the recently dissolved firm of Bond, Stephens and Johnson. Johnson will replace Jack White's former broker, Gregg Gunnerson. Gunnerson has been with the company since 1984 and a broker since 2001. He is shifting away from the day-to-day responsibilities but will continue to work for Jack White Commercial. Johnson has more than 26 years of commercial real estate experience in the Anchorage market, and 20 years as partner and owner of Bond, Stephens and Johnson. He has been a top producer in the Anchorage commercial real estate market since he started his career in 1986 and he brings his knowledge and experience in commercial real estate sales, leasing and site acquisitions. Marc Dunne, CCIM, associate broker, is a lifelong Alaskan and has been a commercial real estate broker in Anchorage since 1994. Marc was the top-producing broker for Bond, Stephens and Johnson from 2005-2012. His practice includes all areas of commercial real estate. Michael McElligott, MBA, associate broker, is also a lifelong Alaskan and has been a licensed Realtor for 16 years. Michael specializes in commercial real estate sales, leasing, investment and analysis.

• USKH Inc. has announced that Kacy Hillman has joined the multidisciplined firm as an environmental analyst. Hillman previously worked at USKH in 2008. Hillman provides USKH's clients with more than eight years of experience on a wide array of projects, with particular expertise in wetland science, including wetland delineations and wetland functions and value assessments. She is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist. Since rejoining USKH, Hillman has been busy working on a variety of projects, including improvements to Glacier Highway in Juneau and a pair of projects at the Nome Airport for the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.
