A threatening statement posted over the weekend on Anchorage Assembly member Dick Traini's re-election Facebook page resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old man on a charge of making terroristic threats, according to Traini and Anchorage police.

Traini said Tuesday that a post appeared on his re-election page just after 10 p.m. Saturday that said "you are going to be assassinated." It was posted under the name Shane Bro Ski, Traini said. He called police.

Early Sunday morning, police arrested Shane Kidd Borowski on a charge of making terroristic threats in the second degree, said police spokeswoman Dani Myren. That's a felony.

The man told police he didn't intend to do any harm and "just thought it was funny," Myren said.

Traini said police offered to protect him and his family overnight, but he declined.

Court records show that Borowski posted bail and was released.
