Anchorage voters approve all bond propositions

Voters approved four bond propositions and two other issues in Anchorage's city election Tuesday. They rejected a third issue.

The bond proposals are:

• A $54.8 million proposition for school projects.

• $2.6 million for ambulances, public transit vehicles and technology, various public safety upgrades, and assessment of the city's dams and bridges.

• $20.5 million, for roads and drainage projects in the Anchorage road service area.

• $2.5 million, for Anchorage Bowl parks and trails.

Voters also endorsed a small city land trade with the state, and a change to the city charter to specify Assembly terms are three years.

They turned down a proposed charter change that would have let the city change boundaries of service areas without a majority vote of the service area's voters.
