Letter: Alaska is now ‘open for business’

When the Coastal Management Plan was allowed to tank, it was a bad sign. Then the Department of Natural Resources arbitrarily removed the word “conserve” from its mission statement. The cruise lines got the OK to pollute our oceans. There are bills in the legislature taking away water rights and removing the public from any rightful participation to resist.

Someone has decided that Alaska is “open for business” and doesn’t care what gets ruined or destroyed as a result.
