Solstice Advertising recognized as finalist for national PR award

ANCHORAGE, AK – Solstice Advertising was recently named a finalist for a Silver

Anvil Award, the most prestigious award given in the public relations industry. Only

a handful of other Alaska agencies and individuals have ever been finalists. Each

year, the Public Relations Society of America recognizes the top public relations

campaigns from around the country with Silver Anvil awards.

Solstice is being honored for its work on the Alaska Energy Authority’s Energy

Awareness Month Campaign. In a state where energy costs are rising dramatically,

Solstice worked to educate and encourage Alaskans to be more energy efficient. The

October 2012 campaign, “Save Energy. Save Money. You have the Power,” yielded

great results. The campaign had the potential to reach one in three Alaskans and

during October, enrollment in the state’s flagship home energy rebate program

increased by approximately 46 percent.

Finalists will attend the Silver Anvil Awards Ceremony on June 13 in New York City.
