Letter: Union employees are overpaid

When are the voters of Anchorage going to get smart and get out and vote? The union bosses told their people to protest and get out and vote, and they did and they got their two representatives re-elected even though the union voters only represent about 25 percent of the voters.

After publication of the total costs of some of the MOA employees, I am amazed that they would have the audacity to demonstrate against the new restrictions on future labor negotiations.

MOA employees make two to three times the salaries that employees in private industry make, and some of them make more money in retirement that many people make working.

Wake up, folks, before we end up like Stockton, Calif., did. Bankrupt.
