Ann L. Lovejoy, MBA, M. Ed, joins Mountain-Pacific Quality Health as quality improvement specialist and will be leading efforts to improve health among populations and communities specific to the cardiac and prevention project. Lovejoy has extensive experience in strategic organizational development, process leadership and operations management. Her healthcare leadership experience includes accreditation readiness; policy and procedure development; metrics and process design; quality systems implementation; and strategic planning and alignment. She previously worked as the Transitional Director of Quality for Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau. In addition, she served as the Organization Development and Quality Improvement Director for Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) in Anchorage.
Lovejoy has a BA and MA from the University of Washington in Seattle, an MBA from the University of Connecticut, and is certified in Advanced HR and Organizational Development from Columbia Teacher's College in New York City. She's certified for six sigma green belt, ITIL and SPHR.
Marcy Rein, RN, MPH has accepted the position with Mountain-Pacific Quality Health as quality improvement specialist. Rein has extensive experience in the healthcare field specific to areas of disability services and quality improvement. She has previously worked for the State of Alaska Division of Senior and Disability Services as Chief of Programs as well as the Developmental Disabilities Unit Manager in Anchorage. She is a owner and managing member of Making Anywhere Possible, LLC, which aims to provide consulting and education to promote full participation of people experiencing disabilities, especially in areas of health promotion, recreation, and travel.
Rein has a B.S. in Nursing and MPH in Public Health Practice from the University of Alaska in Anchorage. She is a state of Alaska Registered Nurse and certified through the Northwest ADA Center/Cornell University with the Americans with Disabilities Act Training Network Certificate.
Stephanie Horine joins Mountain-Pacific Quality Health as lead Administrative Assistant. Stephanie Horine joins the company with a varied and multi-dimensional working background. Previously, she worked for the Municipality of Anchorage as Administrative Clerk in the Clerk's office as well as the Election Recruiter. Stephanie possesses excellent skills in customer service and has an advanced clerical and administrative skill set. Her extensive knowledge of Alaska can be accredited to her past years of experience as a Professional Driver/Guide for both Premier Alaska Tours and Princess Tours. Mountain-Pacific welcomes Stephanie to their professional environment and on-going efforts to improve healthcare quality throughout the state.
Christopher Kobus, MS, RN, NRP has joined Mountain-Pacific Quality Health as quality improvement specialist and will be leading efforts to reduce health-care acquired conditions in nursing homes across the state of Alaska. Kobus has worked as an Infection Prevention Nurse and Clinical Nurse at Maniilaq Health Center in Kotzebue, Alaska. He is a member of the Association of Practitioners of Infection Control and also possesses a versatile background with experience being both a critical care paramedic and firefighter nationwide.
Kobus received his A.S. in the Nursing Program at the Community College of Baltimore County. Additionally, Kobus attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County where he received a B.A. in Health Care Administration and Policy and an M.S. in Emergency Health Services.
