Letter: Arrest lawmakers for theft

Under the cover of darkness, Republican state legislators stole $5.7 billion from Alaska taxpayers by reducing the money we earn from oil revenue. Conoco Phillips employees Micciche and Meyer provided the margin for this giveaway to pass the Senate, making a mockery of limitation on conflicts of interest.

Budget figures show that SB 21 will result in a $1.6-$1.7 billion budget shortfall next year. Thanks to the Parnell-Treadwell administration and its allies, Alaska now is on a path to years of deficits. If these guys weren't in the Legislature they'd be arrested for grand larceny.
