Letter: Best Knik Arm crossing option

I’m with Vera Crews (Letters, April 13), and especially liked the 1972 report done by HNTB for the Alaska Department of Highways. They looked at seven crossings, including one just below Eagle Bay — Goose Bay, and another just above those two bays.

I would opt for the latter, connecting from about Chugiak High School to the old Nike site “Bay” airstrip on the Knik-Goose Bay road. Much of the materials needed for construction are present at, or near, these respective sites.
