Letter: Tip for lawmakers: Work with Big Oil, don’t do its bidding

I read the Compass piece by Jim Jansen (April 14). I only have this to say about “businessmen” like him and the other “pod people” who repeatedly drone the governor’s false ideology:

No rational “businessman” would ever make such a one-sided agreement with their own money. If Mr. Jansen negotiated such a  corporate deal for Lynden Transport his company would fire him on the spot. Giving billions away with absolutely no inkling or promise of some reciprocation is a fool’s bargain.

Wise up, Legislature — the whole country is laughing at you. Work with the oil companies — don’t be their lackeys.
