Anchorage has a new postmaster

Andrea Hotchkin is the new Postmaster of Anchorage. She is the eighth Anchorage City Postmaster and the second female Postmaster since 1941. She has served as the Acting Postmaster for the last 18 months and has previously held various positions throughout her career. Hotchkin has administration responsibility for an annual budget of $40 million, 12 retail and delivery units. She is responsible for 380 employees and 179 routes. The city offices deliver to more than 295,570 customers daily and
14,571 post office box holders. Last year, the 12 facilities generated a total of $82.6 million for the Alaska District.
