Former Alaska Aces veteran winger Matt Robinson, who unfortunately for him was the odd-man out when the club had so many veterans during the NHL lockout -- and only four vets can play for any one team in an ECHL game -- is in the Central Hockey League's Presidents Cup Finals with the Wichita Thunder.
Robinson returned to the Thunder in midseason -- he and Wichita lost to Fort Wayne in five games in last season's CHL Finals.
In any event, Robinson owns 2-3--5 and +3 totals in eight playoff games. Wichita swept Arizona in four games in the first round, with three wins in OT, and swept Fort Worth in four games in the second round.
In the Finals, the Thunder face the Allen Americans. Game 1 in the best-of-7 drops Tuesday night in Allen, Texas.
Allen, for what it's worth, took out Denver in five games in the first round and Missouri in seven games in the second round.
