About the Mrs. Alaska United States organization
The Mrs. Alaska United States pageant transferred directors, this year, and is now being directed by Renee’ Scott former Mrs. Alaska. Scott believes that pageants must give back to the community and she requires each competitor to have a “platform” that they are actively promoting and will continue to promote, should they become Mrs. Alaska. Scott sets this example with her “Pageant with a Purpose” campaign, where the pageant itself adopts a non-profit to support financially, and through volunteerism throughout the year. This year’s non-profit adopted was Beacon Hill, a transitional living home for homeless mothers and their children. The pageant’s Facebook account recently went viral overnight with over 200,000 people reached during the online photogenic competition. For more information, visit: http://www.alaskapageantry.com.
