Syvret to AHL Toronto; NAHL West All-Stars

Alaska Aces defenseman Corey Syvret has been summoned to AHL Toronto for the Calder Cup playoffs.

The Marlies swept Rochester in three games in the first round of the postseason and on Friday open a best-of-7, second-round series against Grand Rapids.

Syvret is 11 regular-season games for the Marlies was -2 with 10 shots on goal. In 31 regular-season games for the Aces, he went 1-17--18 and +10. In 11 playoff games for Alaska, he went 0-4--4 and even.

In other news, three members of Alaska teams were voted onto the NAHL West Division All-Star team is balloting by coaches.

Kenai River Brown Bears forward Alex Jackstadt of Anchorage was honored after going 20-19--39 and +7 in 59 regular-season games.

Fairbanks Ice Dogs forward Garret Clement (28-27--55 and +18 in 59 games), who is headed to Lake Superior State, and defenseman Doug Rose (10-18--28 and +16 in 52 games), who is headed to Sacred Heart, were also selected to the West Division team.
