Sauder takes the helm at Bean's Cafe

Bean's Café, a local non-profit feeding and sheltering those in need since 1979, announces today that local Alaskan Lisa Sauder will become the new executive director of Bean's Café replacing Jim Crockett who passed away suddenly last November after 11 years as the executive director of Bean's Café.

Lisa Sauder was born and raised in Anchorage and is a graduate of Pepperdine University with a degree in political science and a minor in communications. She has over 20 years of experience in non-profit management, public relations and marketing. Sauder most recently served as the executive director, Alaska division for the American Heart Association. Prior positions in Alaska include sales manager for the Anchorage Convention and Visitors Bureau and public relations officer for Key Bank of Alaska. She is currently a member of the Anchorage Downtown Rotary Club, Take Heart Alaska Coalition, Loren Marshall Foundation and the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce. She is a past recipient of the JC Penney Golden Rule Award for Community Leadership. Sauder resides in Anchorage with her husband Steve and three children.
