[Anchorage, AK] -- Carlile Transportation Systems, Inc. today announced that Terry B. Smith, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, informed the Company of his plan to retire after six years in the role that culminated with the sale of all stock and related affiliate holdings to Saltchuk Resources, Inc. effective May 31st, , 2013.  Mr. Smith intends to work closely with Saltchuk and TOTE Inc. management to ensure a smooth and successful transition of his responsibilities.

"Terry joined Carlile at a critical period in our history.  He started just as the industry, economy and the banks collapsed around us while we rolled out our next generation Enterprise Resource Planning platform.  He guided us through this phase allowing us to expand while recapitalizing the company.  When our markets stabilized, we were well positioned to pursue our growth plans with the capital to do it successfully.  Mr. Smith played a crucial role as we navigated the financial crisis and a changing transportation industry," said Carlile Chairman/CEO Harry McDonald.
