How about this:
Daily News owners (The McClatchy Company) purchase KHAR and return format to what the people want (see 20 or so previous letters to the editor). This would give this newspaper-radio combo opportunities to sell new packages to advertisers and enable ADN and KHAR to promote each other.
This works well in Phoenix, where the Gannett-owned TV station and The Arizona Republic not only do those things but also use sports writers as TV sports commentators (sometimes), put the business news people on TV, etc.
Some sports writers don’t have velvet voices, but they do seem to have more knowledge than the blabberheads you hear on sports-talk shows.
